Hello!

Hi l’m Geraldine Ramselaar. I live in Kyneton, Macedon Ranges, Victoria with my family; husband Drew and our Three Little Rams: Hans, Molly & Charles. 

I kick started my sewing adventures when l received a new sewing machine that came with a “get to know your sewing machine” class. Although the sewing machine is essential, it’s the class that got me going - it’s where l learnt my biggest and smallest sewing lessons.

My biggest sewing lesson: 99% of the time: it’s a user problem, not the machine.

My smallest sewing lesson: you’re always learning.

Since then, l’ve gotten over a few sewing fears. What’s worked for me is embracing them. Really just tackling them straight on. I’ll confess, my biggest fear was….

ZIPS!

l’d do anything to avoid them. Searching for hours for patterns that would fit the bill but not have a ZIP. I wanted to sew a bag, a pouch, a purse , an anything…. just not with a zip.

So, l bought a sewing book, discovered talented bag pattern designers, signed up to Bag of the Month and got comfortable being outside my comfort zone.

So here l am, a self-confessed zipaholic. 

A zipaholic, that enjoys the challenge of a new project. Be that a custom order, a new pattern, designing my own patterns or sharing my passion, for all thing sewing, facilitating classes.
